
After conducting a national search we are pleased to announce the selection of Thomas Sorci as the new principal to lead Lumen Christi High School.
Mr. Sorci brings 33 years of teaching and leadership experience to our school and two very important attributes to the position; one, that he is very committed to Catholic morality and education, and two, he believes in each student reaching the heights of academic achievement.
Mr. Sorci is a graduate of Dartmouth College, has a Masters Degree from the University of Colorado and is a Doctoral Candidate in Education and Leadership (ABD) at Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Sorci’s commitment to education has led him to an appointment by the College Board of New York, NY to serve on the National SAT Writing Development Committee.Since 1994, Mr. Sorci has been involved in the SAT testing process as a Reader for the SAT Writing Test. He has also served on the PSAT Review Committee, and as a Reader for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Mr. Sorci is an avid outdoorsman and marathon runner, and he looks forward to becoming an Alaskan.
