The Parent Volunteer Organization (PVO) is the volunteer spirit behind Lumen Christi that makes “things” happen. It is the driving force that organizes fundraisers and stages activities that benefit the school, the staff, and its students. Volunteering, especially if you are new to the school, is a wonderful way to become a part of the school community by making new friends and becoming involved in your child’s education. Every Lumen parent is a member of the PVO and is an important part of ensuring that Lumen Christi continues to provide a high quality education for your children.
Each family is required to provide the school with 40 hours of their time, talent and enthusiasm, with 20 share hours worked in fundraising. There are a number of ways that your share hours can be easily achieved. There are positions to meet every talent. If you are unsure about taking on a role yourself, find someone to share the job.
Meeting scheduled for every second Tuesday of each month. The PVO always welcomes new members to join its merriment. Thank you for volunteering your expertise, time, and efforts. Email Leyla Kelter at kelters@msn.com for more information.
